With over 110 years of history, the ranch remains in the hands of the same pioneering family that settled on the shores of the southern arm of Lago Argentino. Its main activity is Hereford cattle breeding, although it also has a history in sheep farming.

Departure from El Calafate
Transfer along Provincial Route No. 15, also known as the "Estancias Route." Panoramic views of Cerro FrÃas and chances to spot native wildlife such as condors, foxes, and hares. Crossing the RÃo Rico, where the steppe landscape transitions into a more mountainous environment. Entrance to Los Glaciares National Park, following the shores of Lago Roca until reaching the ranch.

Welcome to the Ranch
Reception at the Quincho with a hot beverage of your choice (tea, coffee, or mate) and homemade pastries. Introduction to the history of the ranch and its significance in the region.

Rural Activities
Visit to the corrals to observe the morning milking and sheep herding. Optional: Guided horseback ride (45 min) or nature walk. Scenic trails with views of the southern arm of Lago Argentino and glacier-eroded rock formations. Wildlife spotting: cachañas (parrots), woodpeckers, eagles, and caranchos (crested caracaras).

Sheep Shearing & Gaucho Activities
our of the shearing shed, now a historical museum. Live demonstration of traditional hand-shearing, explaining the entire wool-processing cycle. In the corrals, gauchos perform a "prueba de riendas" (horse-riding skill demonstration) or cattle work.
